March – Crawfete
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
The Official Kickoff To Crawfish Season. Regional restaurants and caterers will compete for your vote for either the best gourmet crawfish dish or the best-boiled crawfish. Guests will enjoy crawfish tastings of boiled crawfish and gourmet crawfish dishes from dozens of restaurants and caterers, live entertainment, and also plenty of beer and water, as they decide who wins the 2020 People’s Choice awards.

Livestock exhibits and competitions, carnival, entertainment, Ag Magic area, competitive exhibits, rodeo, cooking contests, and much more!
May – Annual Cochon de Lait Festival
Mansura, Louisiana
Held annually on 2nd weekend in May, the festival mixes great cajun food, good times and music with cochon de lait (French for roast suckling pig). Includes a giant midway, nightly street dances, contests, parade, arts/crafts booths and so much more.
